This recognizes more than twenty years of service by Dr. Jones via the California Teratogen Information Service he established in 1978.

A Center for Pregnancy Research is Established
The OTIS Collaborative Research Center is established in UCSD’s Division of Dysmorphology & Teratology to systematically study the safety of medications and vaccines when used in pregnancy. The program will later be known as MotherToBaby Pregnancy Studies.
